Wilma Jones is a Washington Post, NBC4, WUSA-9 TV, WTOP News Radio, NPR, ArlNow, and Arlington Magazine-featured historian whose work preserving and presenting Black Arlington's history has earned national recognition. She is the author of three books, recipient of the James B. Hunter Human Rights Award from the Arlington County Human Rights Commission and the Henry L. Holmes Meritorious Service award from the Arlington Branch NAACP. She is a community activist and a fourth-generation Halls Hill resident.
